The FILTR is exactly what it's called — a filter. In the modern
day,
too much of our water is contaminated with chemicals and
microplastics.
This severely affects our gardening, both industrially (in farms)
and on smaller scales like home gardens.
The FILTR, a
completely scalable and customizable product solves these issues and
makes sure our plants are provided clean water (no matter where the water came from).
Anatomy
The two thick aluminium sheets on either side of the granular activated carbon (GAC) prevent the organic material from decomposing and mixing with the soil, which would render it ineffective. The small holes in the metal sheets allow for water to funnel into the GAC, where chemicals are successfully filtered from the water. Only the water continues, continuing down through small holes in the lower sheet and to the soil beneath the filter - chemical free. The metal sheets have larger holes in it, the density decided by the client. These larger holes are to allow stems to grow.
The metal is made out of 1.5mm thick aluminium foil. It is designed to be durable enough to withstand being in the ground, but thin enough to be able to deliberately cut in order to provide more space for plants.
